A Full-Service Rehabilitation Center for Animals

THERAPIES: Therapeutic Exercise

For every animal who comes to Scout's House, we create a personalized treatment plan based on her unique needs. And nowhere does that plan get more individually tailored than with therapeutic exercises. While one pet may be doing "sit-to-stands," sitting down and standing up again to strengthen his rear limbs, another may be walking over a series of hurdles in alternating heights while wearing bells on her hind limbs to help her relearn where her feet are and improve her balance.

No mistake about it, therapeutic exercise is one of the most important aspects of rehabilitation therapy. That's why we'll use whatever it takes—physiorolls, elastic bands, stairs, ramps, wobble boards, slings, Cavaletti rails, bottle caps, weighted backpacks, or bear bells, to name just a few—to help your pet improve her strength, balance, proprioreception, range of motion, and gait.
